I don’t believe in religion(even having been raised a Catholic) as it’s the biggest form of mind control going, and I don’t really buy whole-heartedly into conspiracy theories either but I do not ignore what they have to say. I listen to anything that will give me another perspective on how to look at something and then go on living my life the way I normally do. With technological capabilities like Google Earth, this is a good indication of just how much surveillance the gov’t can do on someone without them knowing about it. Who needs a chip when you can have a clear video capture of someone you target?

You will not be chipped unknowingly, it has to be willfully. So it will not come in the form of a flu shot without being disclosed. Our military personel has to ok it, they might not get paid if they refuse, but, they do have a choice. It will be passed off as no big deal, kinda like a paper added to the stack that needs to be signed when buying a house or a car. You want the keys so you sign all the papers.

Common Sense — FDA approves an RFID chip for human implantation. Sorry, but that does not fall in to common sense in my world. Why would the FDA feel the need to approve a chip to be implanted in humans? ahh investment purposes, so no one can manipulate your portfolio and eliminates insider trading, that’s it.

Nazrafel – on the contrary, it only exemplifies the knowledge level in our country, don’t forget, IBM invented this and the majority of these companies reside in the US. And I must commend the inteligence level of those pulling the wool over the eyes of someone as intelligent as yourself. As the nature of the site is banking and investments, this discussion has merit if kept on track.

One only has to look to the book to figure out where to put your money. The Verichip Corp is one of the companies that will flourish. But I have always had a moral dilemna within myself about my money funding the company. If this chip does happen to be the mark spoken of, will the blood of all the individuals be on my hands as my money helped the success of this project by being an investor.

It is written it will happen, are we wrong to jump on the boat as Mr. Gecko, whose name by the way says it all. Gordon Gecko was inhumane, greedy, a crook, a liar… need I go on. I liked wall st. too, along with boiler room, glen gary glen ross etc… but I am a God fearing man with a moral compass that faulters and lets me know when I’m off track.

Let me guess Mr Gecko… having a chip is no different than getting a tatoo, piercing or breast implants, right? It will make us safe by keeping track of prisoners, organizing our medical records and reduce mistakes because our medical file will be in our arm. I’ve mentioned this to many people and there has been more than one that said they would be willing to be chipped for the convenience factor. No more id’s, credit cards, keys etc. Have a push start car that only has to have a fob within 3 ft to start? Oh and those stone cutters still exist, don’t know too many of em that actually cut stone anymore though.

There is no need to panic or be fearful, just know what side your on and follow your heart. With that being said, I guess I will not make my millions that I had hoped by investing in the emerging technologies.
