Top Mid-Term CD Rates In New Orleans

piggly bank with cash poking out of the deposit slot.Crescent Bank & Trust has a slew of decent CD rates for New Orleans-area savers.

With a $5,000 minimum deposit, it pays:

  • 1.80% APY for 44-month CDs.
  • 1.60% APY for 37-month CDs.
  • 1.55% APY for 35-month CDs.

The top nationally available deal on our CD Rates Leaderboard for 36-month CDs ā€” the closest term to all of these odd-term specials ā€” is stuck at 1.40% APY.

Also, with a $1,000 minimum deposit, this bank pays 1.55% APY for 36-month CDs and, with a $5,000 minimum deposit, 2.05% APY for 60-month CDs.

The latter matches the top nationally available 60-month CD rate, which we’re finding hard to beat these days.

You have to be a Louisiana resident to purchase these certificates of deposit and do so in person at a Crescent Bank & Trust branch.

You can buy CDs at its branches in New Orleans and Metairie or at its limited-purpose branches in Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Covington, Monroe and Shreveport.

    Crescent is not longer offering these odd-term CD rates, but you can still get the 36-month and 60-month rates.

    Well, now Crescent’s 36- and 60-month rates are down too:
    36 = 1.41%
    60 = 1.91%
