Top 54-Month CDs In Ohio, Pennsylvania

Sun Federal Credit Union’s 54-month CD rates are a sure bet for its members in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

It pays 2.02% APY with a minimum deposit of $1,000 for this “raise-up” CD, which allows you to increase the rate once during the term if yields rise.

That beats the top nationally available 5-year CD rate on our CD Rates Leaderboard by nearly a fifth of a percentage point.

And, interestingly enough, Sun Federal Credit Union deposits are insured for up to $500,000.

The first $250,000 is federally insured through the National Credit Union Administration, and the second $250,000 is privately insured through the Excess Share Insurance Corp.

So, really, this is as sure of a bet as you’re going to find.

You have to be a member of Sun Federal Credit Union to buy these certificates of deposit.
