Toledo Deal On Long-Term CD Rates

Toledo Metro Federal Credit Union pays a top rate of 2.25% APY.Toledo Metro Federal Credit Union has two strong long-term CD rates for its northwest Ohio members.

It pays:

  • 2.00% APY for 48-month CDs with a $250 minimum deposit.
  • 2.25% APY for 60-month CDs with a $500 minimum deposit.

The 60-month deal beats its term leader on our CD Rates Leaderboard by more than a third of a percentage point, the 48-month deal by nearly a tenth.

But you have to be a member of Toledo Metro Federal Credit Union to purchase these certificates of deposit.

Membership is limited to employees and officials of the cities of Toledo and Oregon, the villages of Waterville or Whitehouse, and Lucas County; employees of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and Rossford Public Library in Wood County; and employees and members of a long list of groups detailed on the website.

Current members’ immediate family and household members can also join. Membership requires a $5 deposit into a savings account.

Members have to buy certificates in person at the credit union’s single office, which is located at 1212 Adams St. in Toledo.

    Toledo Metro has dropped its 60-month rate to 2.005% APY, which is also what it pays now on 48-month CDs.
