NavyArmy Community Credit Union has quite a few great CD rates for its 90,000 southern Texas members, but its one odd-term rate is the way to go.
It’s paying 2.25% APY for 30-month CDs with a $1,000 minimum deposit.
That’s nearly three-quarters of a percentage point higher than the top 36-month deal on our CD Rates Leaderboard.
With that same $1,000 minimum deposit, it’s also paying:
- 1.00% APY for 3-month CDs.
- 1.10% APY for 6-month CDs.
- 1.35% APY for 12-month CDs.
- 1.75% APY for 24-month CDs.
Those CD rates beat their team leaders by a range of a fifth to nearly half of a percentage point.
NavyArmy also has an impressive rewards checking account that pays 3.51% APY on balances of up to $25,000. Any portion of your balance above that pays 1.01% APY.
You’ll have to fulfill some typical rewards checking obligations — like making 10 debit card purchases in a given month — to earn this yield.
You have to be a member of NavyArmy Community Credit Union to open this checking account or buy these certificates of deposit.
