Texas, Colorado Deal: 18-Month CD Rates

Security Service Federal Credit Union is paying 1.60% APY on 18-month CDs.It’s paying 1.60% APY with a $500 minimum deposit, 1.65% APY with a $25,000 minimum deposit and 1.70% APY with a $50,000 minimum deposit.

But you must be a resident of Texas or Colorado and a member of the San Antonio-based credit union to purchase these certificates of deposit.

Members can buy them online, over the phone or at one of its service centers. There are 36 in Texas and 19 in Colorado.

It includes various military personnel and Department of Defense employees in Texas and Colorado, as well as people who live, work, worship and attend school in numerous counties or cities of the two states or are members of certain Catholic dioceses.
