The Bank of Westminster is offering savers in northwest South Carolina one of the best deals in the country on 12-month CDs.

It’s paying 2.07% APY with a minimum deposit of only $1,000.

That’s not only more than you can earn with the best nationally available 1-year CDs it’s more than you can earn with the best nationally available 2-year CDs.

But these certificates of deposit are only available to South Carolina residents and must be purchased at the bank’s single location — 306 E. Windsor St., in Westminster.

    This is a local deal Katherine. As the post says, you have to buy it in person at the bank so you fill out the application when you get there.
