Red Rocks Credit Union is paying savers across Colorado a competitive 2.02% APY on 48-month CDs.
You can try searching Bankrate’s extensive database of the day’s best CD rates, but we suspect you’ll have a hard time beating that deal.
Red Rocks’ offer tops the best nationally available 48-month return of 2.00% APY from the banks on our CD Rates Leaderboard.
That earns it a spot in our rankings of the best local deals from credit unions and community banks around the country.
Red Rocks’ membership is immediately open to anyone living or working in Douglas, Arapahoe or Jefferson counties and to employees of Lockheed Martin.
But any Colorado resident who doesn’t fit those criteria can still join Red Rocks by becoming a member of Consumers United Association with a one-time $5 membership fee.
Red Rocks takes membership applications and sells certificates of deposit online, over the phone and at its branches in Highlands Ranch and Littleton.
Its CDs require a $5,000 minimum deposit and charge a reasonable early-withdrawal penalty of just six months’ interest.
