Philly Deal: 3% CD Rate For 60 Months

The Police and Fire Federal Credit Union’s CD rates have cooled off some, but its 60-month deal still burns the competition.

The Philadelphia credit union is paying 3.00% APY on a 5-year certificate of deposit, with a very reasonable $500 minimum.

The Police and Fire Federal Credit Union in Philadelphia is offering its members nearly unbeatable 5-year CD rates.

That’s slightly better than the best nationally available 60-month CD rate — 2.93% at Melrose Credit Union with a $5,000 minimum deposit.

It’s a quarter point better than any bank in our rankings that requires a minimum deposit as low as $500.

The Police and Fire Federal Credit Union is open to all active and retired Philadelphia police officers and firefighters, their immediate families, and everyone who works for or belongs to hundreds of affiliated businesses, labor unions and civic groups.
