Citadel Federal Credit Union has good rates on 36- and 60-month CDs.With a $500 minimum deposit, it’s paying:

  • 2.30% APY for 36-month CDs.
  • 3.00% APY for 60-month CDs.

Both beat the top nationally available CD rates for those terms, which are 2.17% APY for 36-month CDs and 2.93% APY for 60-month CDs.

Plus, Citadel Federal Credit Union requires a $500 minimum deposit to secure the rate, significantly lower than the minimum required by the term leader on our CD Rates Leaderboard.

You must be a member of Citadel Federal Credit Union to buy these certificates of deposit.

Membership requires a $5 deposit in a savings account and is limited to people who live, work or worship in the Pennsylvania counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia, or in the borough of Christiana or the city of Lancaster in Lancaster County.

Family members of current Citadel Federal Credit Union members are also eligible to join.

Members can buy CDs over the phone, online or in person at one of the credit union’s 13 locations in Brookhaven, Chadds Ford, Chester Springs, Downingtown, Eagle, Lancaster, Paoli, Parkesburg, Phoenixville, South Coatesville, Springfield, Thorndale and West Chester.

    Citidel has cut its 36-month CD rates to 2%. Its 60-month rates remain unchanged.
