Michigan Deal: 1.65% 13-Month CD Rates

If you live in west Michigan, you’ve got to take advantage of the special 13-month CD rates First General Credit Union is offering its members.

It’s paying 1.65% APY with a $1,000 minimum deposit.

First General Credit Union is paying 1.65% APY, which beats the best nationally available 12-month CD rates.That’s more than 1.51% you can earn from the best nationally available 12-month CD rates.

These certificates of deposit are available through Jan. 31, 2011.

Members can purchase them over the phone, at one of First General’s two Muskegon branches, or at an affiliated CU Service Center branch.

Anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Muskegon, Oceana, Ottawa, Newaygo or Kent counties can join.

    As of Jan. 20, the 13-month CD rate of 1.65% APY is still available. And it’s now a better deal, as the best nationally available rate on a 12-month CD has fallen to 1.41% APY. Get it while it’s good.
