Melrose Credit Union CD Rates: An Update

Picture of the outside of a Melrose Credit Union BranchIt’s been almost nine months since Melrose Credit Union made big cuts to its typically top CD rates.

Since then, the best nationally available deals on our CD Rates Leaderboard have all declined.

And Melrose?

Its offers have remained unchanged since July 25, 2012. Those rates now compare well against the competition, particularly in the 36- and 60-month terms.

With a $5,000 minimum deposit, Melrose Credit Union pays:

  • 1.96% APY on 60-month CDs.
  • 1.46% APY on 36-month CDs .

Both of those offers pay a bit better than the best nationally available bank deals.

What impresses us the most, though, is that Melrose hasn’t changed (read: cut) rates in so long.

We opened a CD at Melrose a little over a year ago. We have been very pleased. They are easy to work with, and the website is great and easy to use. We will open additional CDs at Melrose.
