March Madness Deal: 2% 2-Year CD Rates

Tennessee savers can cheer for their three NCAA tournament-bound teams while contemplating a local bank’s March Madness Special on CD rates.

Civic Bank & Trust of Nashville is offering this deal with a $5,000 minimumCivic Bank & Trust in Nashville is paying 2.00% APY on its 24-month CD rates. Minimum deposit is $5,000.

That’s more than a third of a percentage point better than the top nationally available deal on our CD Rates Leaderboard.

It’s also a full three-quarters of a point better than Civic Bank’s standard 2-year certificates of deposit.

But in order to earn this rate, you must have a checking account with the bank, and you must hold a minimum balance of $500. You are allowed to add to your CD anytime in multiples of $1,000.

This local deal must be made at Civic Bank & Trust’s office at 3325 West End Ave.
