Lower Valley CU: Top Washington CD Rates

Washington quarterHere’s another example of the local movement we’re seeing in 36-month CD rates.

Washington State’s Lower Valley Credit Union pays 1.81% APY for 36-month CDs with a $500 minimum deposit.

That’s more than a third of a percentage point higher than the top nationally available 36-month offer on our CD Rates Leaderboard. Four banks now pay that yield.

You have to be a member of Lower Valley Credit Union to buy these certificates of deposit. Membership is available to all Washington residents and requires a $50 deposit in a share savings account.

Members have to buy CDs in person at one of the credit union’s three branches in Grandview, Prosser and Sunnyside.
