Live Out West? Enjoy A 2.22% CD Rate

yellow smiley faceWe don’t highlight deals for savers under the Big Sky often, but Montana 1st Credit Union’s 60-month CD rates are too good to ignore.

It pays 2.22% APY with a minimum deposit of $1,000.

The top nationally available 60-month CD rate on our CD Rates Leaderboard pays 2.05% APY.

In 2012, Montana 1st Credit Union merged with Horizon Credit Union, which is also offering this same great rate to members in Washington, Montana and Idaho.

We covered an 18-month special at Horizon Credit Union just last month and, while it’s expired, the details about membership are still up-to-date.

To buy the 60-month certificates of deposit at Montana 1st Credit Union, you have to be a member. Anyone who lives or works in the Missoula area can join.

Membership requires a $20 membership fee.

Members can buy CDs online or in person. There are two branches in Missoula, at 2330 S. Reserve St. and 3708 N. Reserve St.
