Bringing you the very best CD rates from credit unions and local banks. We’ve hit a summer lull as far as CD rates go.

There were no major changes this week on either our CD Rates Leaderboard or on our list of the highest CD rates from credit unions and local banks.

We’ll take that.

We did add three new deals to our list, including a bank offer available to everyone:

  • Third Federal Savings & Loan (www.thirdfederal.com) pays 2.00% APY for 49-month CDs and 1.50% APY for 29-month CDs with a $500 minimum deposit. Anyone can buy Third Federal’s special certificates of deposit online, over the phone or at a branch. Cleveland-based Third Federal Savings & Loan has 38 branches in northeast Ohio and Florida.
  • First Republic Bank (www.firstrepublic.com) pays 2.35% APY on 6-year CDs, 2.00% APY on 4-year CDs and 1.50% APY on 3-year CDs with a $10,000 minimum deposit. You must open this CD at a branch. First Republic has offices in California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New York and Oregon.
