Highest CD Rates Roundup For April 6

Bringing you the very best CD rates from credit unions and local banks. Our CD Rates Leaderboard highlights the top nationally available bank CD rates.

But while the Leaderboard represents the best deals available to savers in all 50 states, you can sometimes find better deals at credit unions and local banks.

And we highlight local and credit union offers in numerous posts throughout the week. Yet these CD rates deals can last well beyond when we first post them.

So that you never miss a great certificate of deposit, we’re going to try something new for us: A page dedicated to the very best CD rates we’ve found that don’t make it onto our Leaderboard.

Indeed, we’re following some local deals we highlighted six months or more ago that are still valid. If you missed them then, you can still catch them now.

And some of these deals are quite good — like the 60-month, 2.75% APY deal from Western Heritage Bank in New Mexico that we first wrote about in February.

Or the great 60-month deal available to everybody from Melrose Credit Union. We last wrote about this New York institution’s CD rates in January, when it started paying 2.27% APY on 5-year CDs.

Both of those deals score well above the best nationally available deal of 1.95% APY available on our CD Rates Leaderboard.

You’ll find each deal clearly marked showing where its available, with a quick link back to the original post, which includes more information on the institution and its requirements.

We’ll update this page weekly so that you’ll always know what great deals are out there from credit unions and local banks.

Give our highest CD rates page a try.
