Here’s A Nationwide Deal On Kasasa Tunes

Last week we told you about Kasasa Tunes, the new riff on high-yield checking accounts popping up at community banks around the country.

If you’re interested in signing up, but can’t find a local bank taking part, consider opening an account at Atlantic Coast Bank.

Atlantic Coast Bank is accepting applications from music lovers nationwide. It’s accepting online applications for Kasasa Tunes from music lovers nationwide.

Atlantic Coast, which has 11 branches in northeast Florida and southeast Georgia, provides a $25 credit towards iTunes purchases when you enroll, and then reimburses you for up to $5 a month in iTunes purchases after that.

There’s no monthly fee and they can be reimbursed for up to $25 worth of charges for using other banks’ ATMs, as well.

But to qualify for those benefits, customers must make 10 debit card purchases a month. Fail to do so and all of those costs are on you.

Atlantic Coast is currently paying 3.01% APY on balances of up to $15,000 in its Kasasa Cash reward checking account. That’s a much better deal for savers who want to earn the relatively high interest on big sums of money.

But if you plan to keep less than $2,000 in your checking account forgoing the interest payments and taking the iTunes reimbursement from Kasasa Tunes is the better deal.

The fact that you can grab cash from any ATM seven or eight times a month free of charge makes it much easier to have your checking account at a Florida bank. Living thousands of miles away from the nearest Atlantic Coast teller machine won’t cost you a fortune in fees.
