Tried to take part of this offer. Did everything as indicated. Did not receive my card so I called ncb. They told me that I did not qualify since I used my check card as a debit card! ????????? I guess I am stupid since when you use a check it ends up as a debit to your account. Did not know that one card was actually 2. Just another scam from NCB. No wonder they’re going broke

STILL WAITING FOR MY BONUS ON A DIFFERENT PROMOTION. SUPPOSED TO GET A BONUS INTO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. SOMEONE CALLED ME TODAY FROM NAT CITY WHO SAID THAT
THE ACH WAS NOT SETUP. THAT WAS DONE A LONG TIME AGO AND THE ACH DEPOSIT WAS MADE. NAT CITY SAID THAT THEY WOULD LOOK AND CALL ME BACK IN A FEW DAYS. I WANT THE MONEY THAT I AM ENTITLED TO.

They refuse to allow existing clients to take advantage of this deal. I have over 250k at NCC and I won’t keep that money there when my cds mature. They respect disloyality and not loyality. So that’s why I have to keep moving my money around. Chase gave me $200 for putting $100 a month of my payroll into a new checking account.

Do not bother with National City bonus.
They policies sucks, as much as customer rep that just need to follow those polices. I overdraw my checking account by a few pennies. OK. It happens and like most of the banks they cherged hefty fee. But unlike other banks, they charge $8 each 3 days the account is overdraw. It can be a $100 bucks by the time you knotice.
Closing the account was terrible expereince. As I left a penny in my checking account, to keep a positve balance, they told me that this account can’t be closed by phone. After several phone calls they acctualy closed the accont over the phone. Interesting thing to knote here is that if you have no acctivity in fee free checking account, they will automaticly convert it to a fee checking account with a maintnence fee without your knowledge.
My experince with them was as a worst bank with hidden traps and unresponding custorer support.

I would say to wait out and the deals will get even better. The banks would do pretty much everything to get to your cash. They need it badly. I would never think there would be a time when you could say this but Banks need cash badly. What are the rest of us supposed to do?

Good offer, but it was bought out by PNC Bank. I work for a bank ( can’t say which, lol)…direct deposit has to be something that is eletronically deposited, ss, payroll, or even from paypal. You will get a bonus once a direct deposit hits the account!!! But…the bank was bought out!!! Find out the details

I just opened my account at NCB. The direct deposit must be $250 and It can be just one time. I dont think that would count. it has to be payroll direct deposit.

Is $250 a One time direct deposit? Does any one know if they require a recurring monthly Direct deposit to the account? Also, if I make an online transfer of $250 from one bank to this bank account, would that count as “direct deposit”?
