    I do not own a business, so I tried “sole proprietor” in the “legal entity” box. After applying, I was rejected and told that I would be mailed a letter explaining the reason. I already have a Discover personal card–is this a problem or is the lack of a business the problem? I have excellent credit.

    I had the same problem. I got rejected. I really have an 800 credit score. Do not waste your time unless your a business.

    the non business card is a better deal 500.00 for 100.00 back

    I think the best gas rebate card is the universal att citi card. Im getting a full 5x thankyou network pts for gas, groceries, and drugstores

    discover card called me up and asked more info about my business. started making stuff up until they asked for me to fax information about my business. thinking about just calling up and threatening to cancel the application if they don’t approve it without me faxing anything. any suggestions?

    I used my Citi CashReturns Master card to pay my tax, and made a little bit of profit of 2.4% cash rebate. My Fico score decreased more than 40 points, even after I paid off next month. I’d never apply a credit card for a tiny little bit of profit again. :(

    i was rejected for open road card as they told me i could not join as had another discover card,citi card allows you as many as you want if diff.cards.their open road card is limited to 100$ purchases a month !!gas/auto.in the fine print.not very much with todays gas prices!!!!

    yeah me too. as much as i’ve slammed BOA in the past, they actually are pretty good about approving cards and giving the rewards in my experience. am express is great too – i got a free flight to amsterdam from them! (only cost me $60 for taxes/fees). discover- not so great.

    Applied for the card. Even though I have an internet business, they rejected and said they don’t accept ANY internet related businesses! I was insulted!

    I have several Discover cards and have never been turned down for one. They give me a total amount of credit, $15,000 I think it is, and that amount is divided between the cards. I don’t know why they turned down anyone.

    I clicked the link on bankaholic and was taken to the Discover Card Business Card page but nowhere on the page does it show any sort of $100 bonus. Without anything on Discover’s site about the $100 bonus, I stopped short of submitting the application.

    I applied when the bonus was still (5/30) in effect and now it is nowhere to be found. I got approved, but I don’t want the card in lieu of the bonus…

    I checked the offer again today and see that the $100 offer is indeed showing once again on the discover site. I applied for the card but was not immediately approved; I am assuming I will be turned down.

    I have an account in Discover. And don’t think I am going to change my credit card now but certainly as for me they are the most secure credit card providers, maybe that’s the reason why your are not being approved inmediately b/c they have to cross-check your personal info.
