Delta Air Lines is battling as hard for credit card customers as it is for business travelers.
It’s determined to get anyone who holds a Northwest Airlines credit card through US Bank to switch to a Delta SkyMiles card from American Express by the time the merger of the two carriers is complete.
But US Bank won’t surrender those customers without a fight, and is pushing its new FlexMiles Visa card as an alternative.
Now Delta has sweetened the deal for all SkyMiles credit card holders: Earn double miles on Delta and Northwest flights through the end of the year.
To qualify for those extra miles you simply have to register online by Sept. 30.
And that’s in addition to earning double miles on the purchase of any Delta and Northwest tickets with your SkyMiles card.
