Unfortunately, its also causing most credit companies to SEVERELY cut credit limits, and discontinue popular rewards programs. Discover just ended its once great OPEN ROAD gas rewards program, blaming it on the CARD ACT (whether its justified or not, I dont know, and I dont care. The new law is causing me new hardships, not new benefits). And rates are expected to go way up. So once again, more regulation screws people rather than help them. Yes, maybe some of the regulations will be good.
