EverBank Rejoins Leaders In 5-Year CDs

Just yesterday, we reported that CIT Bank abandoned its share of the lead for nationally available 60-month CDs on our CD Rates Leaderboard.

Today, EverBank nudged its 5-year rate up to 2.25% APY, returning us to four co-leaders in the term.

EverBank has an established pattern of changing a few of its CD rates every Friday morning, often with very minor tweaks.

But it’s really outdoing itself lately, with this already being its eighth change to 60-month rates in 2015.

Its 5-year yield has bounced up and down this year between 2.00% and 2.33% APY.

The Jacksonville-based bank, which has a dozen branches across Florida and a prominent online operation, requires a modest $1,500 minimum deposit for all of its certificates of deposit.

EverBank also increased the yield on its 3-month CDs from 0.31% to 0.32% APY today and its 24-month return from 1.12% to 1.14% APY.
