Ridgestone Bank dropped its APY on the 25-month CD special to 2.25% from 2.50%, which takes it out of the “great offers” category. You can earn more by checking out your options at “Frontier Alone At Top of 2-Year CD Rates.”

Ridgestone Bank in Schaumburg wants a $40,000 minimum deposit for its savings account that now earns 2.25%, but Ridgestone Bank in Brookfield, Wis., requires only a $20,000 for the same rate.

As mentioned in the above comment, you can get more for your money with a 2-year CD and the rate will not change.
