Delaware Deal On 4 Top CD Rates

Finding a single above-Leaderboard CD rate is difficult these days, so kudos to Dover Federal Credit Union for featuring four.

With a $500 minimum deposit, it pays:

  • 1.60% APY for 30-month CDs.
  • 1.75% APY for 36-month CDs.
  • 2.00% APY for 48-month CDs.
  • 2.25% APY for 60-month CDs.

While these are clearly all winners, the 60-month CD rate beats the top nationally available deal for its term on our CD Rates Leaderboard by more than four-tenths of a percentage point.

You have to be a member of Dover Federal Credit Union to buy these certificates of deposit.

Membership is open to U.S. military personnel with duty locations in Delaware, as well as civilian employees of the U.S. government in Kent and Sussex counties; military and civilian personnel of the Delaware National Guard; employees and contractors at Dover Air Force Base; military reserve personnel in Delaware and members of the state’s Civil Air Patrol; and retirees of any of these.

In addition, you can also join if you’re an employee of Bayhealth Medical Center or Dover Downs Hotel and Casino; an employee, retiree, member or volunteer of more than 300 select groups and organizations listed on the website; or a family or household member of a current member.

Dover has dropped all of these rates:

    30-month = 1.00% APY
    36-month = 1.35%
    48-month = 1.60%
    60-month = 1.85%
