Patelco Credit Union is running a 12-month CD (certificate of deposit) rate special of 7.00% APY. This is a promotional offer open only to eligible Patelco Credit Union members. There is a $1,000 maximum deposit and standard penalty fees for early withdrawals. This promotional rate is only limited to new money from outside bank accounts.

One drawback is that the CD will renew at sub-par 5% CD rates at the end of 12 months if you don’t close out your account. Overall, this account is luke-warm at best, considering only $1,000 of your deposit qualifies for the 7.00% APY.
