Credit Union Offers Top Long-Term CD Rates To Kansans, Boeing Employees

Meritrust Credit Union pays 2.50% APY on 60-month CDs.Members of Kansas’ Meritrust Credit Union should take advantage of far better than average long-term CD rates.

With a $500 minimum deposit, it’s paying:

  • 2.50% APY for 60-month CDs.
  • 1.75% APY for 36-month CDs.

That 60-month CD rate is more than half a percentage point higher than the best nationally available 60-month deal on our CD Rates Leaderboard.

The credit union’s 36-month CD rate beats the term leader by a fifth of a percentage point.

You have to be a member of Meritrust Credit Union to buy these certificates of deposit.

Membership is open to those who live, work or worship in the Kansas counties of Butler, Chase, Cowley, Dickinson, Douglas, Geary, Harvey, Lyon, Marion, McPherson, Morris, Osage, Pottawatomie, Riley, Saline, Sedgwick and Sumner, and their relatives.

Also eligible: employees and retirees of airplane manufacturer Boeing, component supplier Spirit AeroSystems and any of either company’s subsidiaries as well as members of Boeing’s employee associations.

Membership requires a $25 deposit in a savings account.

Members can buy CDs online, over the phone or at a branch.

There are 14 branches: nine in Wichita, two each in Derby and in Lawrence, and one in Junction City.
