Chase is offering a new Sapphire Card w/ 10,000 bonus points upon approval. Sapphire Preferred offered 15,000 bonus points when $1,000 is spent in the first three months and the annual fee is waved for the first year but is thereafter $95.

Forget the points, it doesn’t beat the CHASE Freedom card
0% for 12 months and best of all 1% CASH BACK on all purchases, 3% on gas, home improvement and department stores.

    Cash better then points…

my Citi platinum just upped my interest rate from 9.99 to 29.99PERCENT! I’ve never been late and always pay over the min. They said it was due to the economic times. I IMMEDIATELY opened another account with my credit union, took out a personal loan and paid Citi off. They should be ashamed of themselves, they just recorded a 3 BILLION profit!

Watch out for CHASE too. November 1st, they switched my fixed 8.99 rate to prime + 9.99% = 13.24%. Nothing they could do for me. I am in the middle of opting out for the CITI bank interest increase as well. This is insanity.

It is ridiculous!! Citi Bank and Chase did the exact thing to me. Chase said they sent me a letter informing me of the changes..and since the letter had already went out, they could do nothing for me. I swear I never recvd the letter. I notice the change on my online statement. So, I told both companies I have excellant credit and do not have to remain with them, and they do not have me over a barrel. I will not be taken like that! I have been with Citi Bank for 19 YEARS and not one time during this span have I been late. And they said “did I provide you with good customer service” Hell no, after 19 yrs of loyality, and you do this. Both cards will be paid in full at tax time and closed. Someone will want my money. But I not going just allow them to steal from me. THEY ARE THIEVES. I FEEL SORRY FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES, AS PEOPLE CLOSE THEIR ACCTS DUE TO GREED. THEY WILL NOT BE NEEDED AND POSSIBLY SOME LET GO.

Chase decreased my credit limit to the next rounded100 above what I owed them then added interest that took my account over the new limit they decreased it to. They then added fees to my account and increased my interest rate because I went over my limit. I called them immediately and they said it was in my contract that if I went over my limit, they could increase my interest rate. How fair is that? I didn’t go over the limit by purchasing anything. They decreased my credit line to stay within guidelines set by the FED but the interest rate increase excuse is bogus! I’ve been with them for years and never been late with a payment or gone over my limit because they had it set so high. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with them.

I opted out of the APR increase of my Citi Dividend and Drivers Edge cards b/c they jacked them up 10%!! This was well over a year ago. Now my APR is 7.24% on my closed accounts. When you opt out it closes it. Old Navy/GEMB lowered my credit limit on my account from over $600 to $250! My balance on it was $242! I was $8 away from maxing it out! I was so mad I closed the account and paid it off as soon as possible! All the credit card companies are finding ways to screw us! Never fails!!

Simmons First Bank 7.25% apr.. Is and they have been the Lowest for me for yrs..!
And to insure your never late? Do a Auto Min Payment , debited to your Card or your Cking account..
Just one way to get nice 800 ratings on your credit

and yes, The others Charging 12% lowest is a Con Game.. They get the $ for 2-3% and We Good Credit People have to pay another +10%? Is Hwy Robbery!

They’re sticking Us That have the $ and Good Credit to pay for those that Don’t! and to make up for all the $ they lost giving Credit Cards to people who never should have gotten them and stuck the bank with Their Debts..

And they have been using the Fed $ , they pay only 2-3% to get , to Invest it into Bonds paying over 9%! No Wonder they don’t want to Make Loans With it! Would you?

Why can’t We Borrow $100k from the Fed, pay them their 1-3% rate and Do the same? Leave it in a Bond Fund, that is making the ave of 7% past 10 yrs now and Fund our Retirement plans!
Rick Santelli is Right! Mr. Berneke and The FED ought to CUT OFF the Banks from borrowing $

I just use my CC in lieu of carrying around Cash and pay it off Every Month..and to keep Good Records for Medical And other Deductions.
