But you have to be a member of Bellco ( to buy these certificates of deposit.

Membership requires a $5 membership fee and a $25 deposit in a savings account, and is available to those who live or work in the counties of Arapohoe, Denver, Douglas, Garfield, Jefferson, Mesa, Moffat or Rio Blanco; in the cities of Lafayette, Louisville or Wheat Ridge; in the towns of Parker or Superior; or in specific areas of Arvada, Littleton or Glendale.

You can also join if you have a family member who belongs, or if you work for or are affiliated with one of the numerous companies or associations listed on the website.

If all else fails, you can become a Bellco member by joining the Consumers United Association, which is open to all Colorado residents for a $5 annual fee.

Members can buy these certificates of deposit online, over the phone or in person at a branch.

Bellco has 15 branches, in Aurora, Centennial, Denver, Englewood, Grand Junction, Lakewood, Littleton, Northglenn, Parker, Westminster and Wheat Ridge.

    One of the best I’ve seen also! Looking for new long term CD as my retirement saving cd is maturing end of Sept. and it was 5%….this is going to definitely hurt my retirement savings for the next 10 years. Change of plans I guess needs to be made.
