Hi, this is an old offer by now. The link above used to take you to Chase where an online generated coupon code was shown. I believe each time you clicked on it, a new one appeared. So one coupon code number per person. In any case, I had gotten a coupon and used it. The coupon said it expired 3/28/09. I opened an account on 3/6/09, However, Chase misrepresented the coupon information. It said $500 must be deposited within 30 days of account opening. My deposit arrived at Chase right after 3/28/09. Guess what? Chase said my account was not really open until they received the deposit. So no bonus. The coupon small print should have mentioned that, or at least the Chase rep who took my application should have mentioned it. Either way, Chase no longer has this offer.

You have to do a zip code check to see if you can start the account online. I live in Georgia and I was not able to start a business account because they do not have any in GA.

I took this offer to Chase and they refused to offer it because I did not have the coupon codes.

YOU NEED TO HAVE COUPON CODES IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS OFFER!

This advertisement on here is pretty shady!

I took advantage of this offer. i have a business account with WAMU which will eventually be grandfathered into Chase in any event. So once that happens, I will close the old WAMU account and keep my new Chase account. I got a business credit card which the banker told me if I use once I will get $50 for (bonus points) and free checks, which I didn't have to pay for.

The banks are so desperate, we might even be getting toasters again.

you have to be a sole proprietor, or a non profit business to qualify to get an interest earning account, and you can't take the money out of an account you already have with chase or they don't pay the bonus. I cant see where it says you have to be a card holder or else you will get a smaller bonus. So I would apply even if you don't have a card. Seems like you'd get the whole amount!

I don't see where it states that you have to have a business credit card on the $200.00 offer (other than to say to 'Chase Business Customers' at the top). It doesn't specifically state 'existing' customers, and by opening the checking account, you are becoming a 'Chase Business Customers'.

What is the context of the original offer?

40% return in 2 months, that's certainly better than your mutual fund!
