CD Rates Leaderboard For Oct. 28, 2011: Quaint Oak Sits Alone At 60 Months

And now Quaint Oak Bank stands alone at the top our CD Rates Leaderboard after First Internet Bank of Indiana cut its rates today by two-tenths of a percentage point to 2% APY.

Quaint Oak Bank (www.quaintoak.com) is a suburban Philadelphia bank with a single location. It requires a $500 minimum deposit.

There are just four other banks that offer nationally available deals on 60-month certificates of deposit that pay more than 2% APY.

They are:

MainStreet Bank, a northern Virginia bank that sells its CDs nationally through its airbanking.com website, which pays 2.15% APY. It requires a $500 minimum deposit.

Kaiser Federal Bank (www.kaiserfederal.biz), with nine branches in southern California, pays 2.05% APY on its special 60-month CDs with a $10,000 minimum deposit.

Nationwide Bank (www.nationwide.com), owned by the insurance company and based in Columbus, Ohio, pays 2.05% APY. It requires a $500 minimum deposit.

Goldwater Bank (www.goldwaterbank.com), with a single location in Scottsdale, Ariz., pays 2.01% APY. It requires a $5,000 minimum deposit.
