CD Rates Leaderboard For July 6:
Two Banks Take Lead In 60-Month CDs

This is a great page to bookmark so you can always find the best nationally available deals on the most popular CD rates. It seems Sovereign Bank couldn’t handle the pressure of being back on our CD Rates Leaderboard.

One day after claiming the lead in 60-month certificates of deposit, the big regional bank with 700 branches in the northeast, cut its rate from 2.80% APY to 2.15% APY.

That means Quaint Oak Bank, which has just one branch in suburban Philadelphia, and Danversbank, which has more than 30 branches in the Boston area, are now offering the best nationally available 5-year CDs.

They’re paying 2.75% APY with a very modest $500 minimum deposit.

Check out all the top national deals on the Leaderboard right now and then come back later this afternoon.

We’re working on a post about five banks that offer savers from Maine to Indiana better returns on 3-year CDs than they can get from the top nationally available deals.

Don't miss out on the next bank deal. Get the newest deals delivered straight to your inbox!
