CD Rates Leaderboard For August 2, 2011:
Two Banks Still Offer Best 2-Year Deal

This is a great page to bookmark so you can always find the best nationally available deals on the most popular CD rates. We’re down to two banks offering the best nationally available deal on 24-month CD rates this morning.

Hudson City Savings Bank cut its return from 1.50% APY to 1.40% APY and fell off our CD Rates Leaderboard.

But savers can still earn that much on 2-year certificates of deposit from Salem Five Bank, which has 22 branches just north of Boston, and MainStreet Bank, which has four branches in northern Virginia.

All of the banks on our CD Rates Leaderboard allow new customers to open accounts online or through the mail, regardless of where they live.

Our next post will be about a Texas credit union that’s paying its members even more than the best nationally available rates on several long-term CDs. We should have that ready to roll early this afternoon.

Don't miss out on the next bank deal. Get the newest deals delivered straight to your inbox!
