Everbank Bank Reviews & Ratings
their customer service is a joke
Very very irritating and disheartening to see my money held and converted to a different currency at lowest possible point (that’ swhy they HOLD IT 5-6 days) and they pick up the cash advantage in the conversion transaction–paying me the lowest possible, while taking the rest. I am sure most banks do this but I expect better of them. There is NO excuse in the world for taking 5-6 days for an instantaneous 1-click transaction–that’s what it is. I want my dollars converted at the most advantageous point, and that conversion and timestamp communicated to me. That is what I call banking transparancy. If they can and will do that, it is an honest transaction–they aren’t hiding anything at that point. But this mumbo-jumbo about how it takes so many 5 DAYS is just crap. It insults the customer’s intelligence, as we all know banking transactions on the internet take exactly one click. No more. The only reason I give them 3 stars is that at least they do offer other currency holdings, which is otherwise not available at all. I also HATE the huge fees for IRAs: $45.00 $25.00 mandatory fees per account. Since accts have to be kept separate by year, you can drop a load of money just on these fees–while the bank makes money holding your money anyway.
Was ready to open CD account but then found out about hard credit check to give them my money. No thanks.
have been with them for several years. customer service going down hill. have tried to open 4 cd’s. via internal email as instructed. had problems all 4 times.i.e. deducted funds, but never credit me w/cd for several days.(funds just diappearded from moneymarket account).- sent them cd request which are ignored. and the best, only had one account w/sufficint funds and they send me emails wanting to know where to make the withdrawl….duh!
Good rates, but a hard credit check for a savings/cd account? No thanks!
Everbank works great.
After 90 days the rate is not worth the trouble.
Ive been with them for 4 years. They started out great but their customer service has declined recently.
Fair value. If new customer, 6.01% apy for first 90 days (9/24/2007).
