Arizona, New Mexico Deal On CD Rates

First American Credit Union pays 2.35% APY.First American Credit Union has 60-month CD rates that easily beat the term leader on our CD Rates Leaderboard.

It’s paying 2.37% APY with a $1,000 minimum deposit.

The best nationally available 60-month CD rates pay 1.95% APY — four-tenths of a percentage point less.

In addition, First American Credit Union’s 36-month CD rates, which pay 1.56% APY, tie the term leader.

If you have at least $50,000 to deposit, you can enjoy higher rates. This credit union pays 1.76% APY on 36-month CDs and 2.52% APY on 60-month CDs.

You have to be a member of First American Credit Union to buy these certificates of deposit.

Membership is open to those who live or work in Arizona or New Mexico. This includes the area’s many winter visitors, as long as they have an address in one of those two states.

Membership requires a $5 deposit in a savings account.

Members need to buy CDs in person at one of First American Credit Union’s three branches.

There are two in Arizona, in Casa Grande, which is about halfway between Phoenix and Tucson, and Window Rock, and one in Gallup, N.M.
