Arizona CD Rates Deal Open To All Savers

Hughes Federal Credit Union is offering a special anniversary deal.Arizona’s Hughes Federal Credit Union has special 29-month CD rates for its 60th anniversary – and ways for all savers to join.

It pays:

  • 1.31% APY with a $1,000 minimum deposit.
  • 1.41% APY with a $50,000 minimum deposit.
  • 1.51% APY with a $99,000 minimum deposit.

The top nationally available 24-month CD rate on our CD Rates Leaderboard is 1.25% APY.

While the jumbo rate is the clear winner, there really isn’t a loser in the bunch.

You have to be a member of Hughes Federal Credit Union to purchase these certificates of deposit. Membership is available to those who live, work, worship or attend school in Tucson; members’ family members; and employees of the credit union’s select employee groups, which are listed on the website.

You can also qualify for membership regardless of where you live by becoming a member of the Friends of the Pima County Public Library, the Tucson Audubon Society or the Marana Arts Council.

If that’s the case, you can apply for credit union membership online and a representative will send you a membership packet detailing your options.

Membership requires a $50 deposit into a savings account.

Members can buy CDs at a branch or through the mail. There are five branches in Tucson.
