5-Year CDs Pay At Least 2.25% In Dallas

fist holding moneyDallas savers may want to check out Pegasus Community Credit Union’s 60-month CD rates.

Pegasus pays 2.25% APY with a $2,000 minimum deposit.

That beats the top nationally available 60-month CD rate on our CD Rates Leaderboard by nearly a tenth of a percentage point.

And the rate increases with the deposit, to 2.30% APY at $50,000 and to 2.40% APY at $75,000.

Of course, Pentagon Federal Credit Union continues to pay 3.04% APY.

But for savers who have maxed out on that deal, or who simply prioritize the convenience of investing locally or with a credit union they’ve already established a relationship with, these rates are far from shabby.

You have to be a member of Pegasus Community Credit Union to purchase these certificates of deposit. Membership is available to those who live or work in Dallas or Denton counties, as well as those who live within a 10-mile radius of a branch. Members’ family members can also join, as can employees of a handful of companies listed on the credit union’s website.

Membership requires a $5 deposit in a share savings account.

Members can buy CDs by mail, email or fax, or in person at a branch.

Pegasus Community Credit Union has six branches in Dallas and one branch in both Denton and Midland.
