flipping through a stack of $100 billsBridgewater Savings’ special 48-month CD rates is the latest in a string of good deals we’ve found for Boston-area savers.

It pays 2.00% APY with a $2,000 minimum deposit.

That’s nearly as good as the top nationally available 60-month CD rate on our CD Rates Leaderboard, which recently dropped slightly to 2.05% APY.

Bridgeport Savings typically allows anyone to buy CDs of a year or longer but requires a $5,000 minimum deposit for customers who live outside Massachusetts. The website doesn’t say it, but this certificate of deposit is considered a CD special and is not open to outside residents.
