3-Year CD Deal: All Savers Can Earn 1.82%

Rates get better at Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union with higher deposits.Savers everywhere can take advantage of Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union’s top 3-year CD rates.

It pays 1.61% APY with a minimum deposit of $1,000, 1.71% APY with a deposit of $50,000 and 1.82% APY with a deposit of $100,000.

The top nationally available 36-month CD rate on our CD Rates Leaderboard is just 1.42% APY, with good deals for this term practically nonexistent.

You have to be a member of Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union to buy these certificates of deposit, but membership is available to anyone.

The easiest way to join is if you are a current or retired employee of the credit union’s many select employee groups, as long as you work in or are paid or supervised from Albuquerque, N.M., and Livermore, Calif., locations.

Immediate families and household members, as well as those of current members, are eligible for membership, too.

In addition, members of the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History can join. Contact the credit union if you want to join using this option, and they’ll collect your $40 membership fee along with the $5 you need to deposit into a share savings account and contact the museum for you.

Members can buy CDs online, through the mail, over the phone or in person at one of the credit union’s two offices.

There are eight locations in Albuquerque and two in Livermore.
