It says on the above lisiting that:

“Considering that 10,000 ThankYou™ points can be redeemed for a $100 gift card, this pretty much means that you get 5% rebates / cash-back on gas, groceries, and drugstore purchases.”

But I looked at the Thank you points reward page and you can’t redeem 10,000 points for a $100 gift card–it takes 16,000 points to get a $100 gift card. It’s great to get 5 points per dollar spent, but the rewards seem to be not as good as some other offers. Please correct me if I’m wrong

your right. I checked this card before. Also, I think its 5% for the first 12 months, then its 2%.

I am really fed up with Citi deals. Some don’t last long enough to get a $50 reward check, because they constantly downgrade the programs: like 5% to 2%.
I was a charter member of At&t Universal getting 5% on grocery. Citi bought them out, cancelled my card after 6 mths, and I lost $10 of accumulated rewards. Citi offerred no options.
I would rather have a 3% Chase deal that continues, than 5% temporary on Citi that drops to 2%, and than ZERO.

This card is not worth it. I will stick with my 3% chase cash back card. Chase gives you additional $50 when you reach $200.

Two months after Citi switched my card from 5 to 2 percent, my daughter is still getting 5 on hers, and has received no notice of any change. I’ll be changing cards — but in the meantime, Paul, I checked at least three dozen $100 gift cards at the Thank You site; not one was more than 10,000 points, and a couple were going for 9,000.
