1st Source Bank Offers National CD Deal

Savers nationwide can jump on a new CD special from 1st Source Bank.

Based in South Bend, Indiana, 1st Source is paying 2.00% APY on a 45-month certificate of deposit with a $2,500 minimum deposit and early withdrawal penalty of 12 months’ interest.

Go ahead and search Bankrate’s extensive database of the best CD rates in the country, but we suspect you’ll find few options for earning a better yield.

1st Source’s 2.00% is the same top-billed return you’ll find on our CD Rates Leaderboard for nationally available 4-year bank yields but with a slightly shorter time commitment.

Serving Indiana and southwest Michigan with 85 branches, 1st Source makes its CDs available online to anyone in the country.

Note that when you begin the online CD application, you’ll encounter language indicating that 1st Source’s CDs are only offered to those near one of its banking centers.

However, I have confirmed by phone and chat that this is incorrect – the local requirement applies to savings, checking and loan products, but 1st Source CDs are available in all 50 states.

Don't miss out on the next bank deal. Get the newest deals delivered straight to your inbox!
